    IAH @ night - 04/16/08

I flew into Houston Hobby this past week, and after the work portion of the day was done, took a run up to IAH to meet with some of the Houston Spotters. Good bunch of guys, if they ever get up to NY we have to show them some good NY hospitality. Unfortunately for me, travelling with a regular tripod was not an option this trip, so I had to use my "Gorilla Pod" from Joby. It's not a bad little gadget at all, but, when the winds are blowing 25+ on top of the parking garage, even the strongest of tripods will have a tough time getting a good shot at night. So, all I was able to get was -2- usable shots for the 2 hours I spent there. Disappointing? Heck yeah, but, I did meet a good bunch of guys, who will go spotting at the drop of a hat.

Here are the only 2 non-blurry shots I was able to come back with:

    Nice shots! I love them.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

Usually you can get that effect using a very small aperture - f/16 or smaller, I've stopped it down as far as f/22 to get the star effect on lights.
