Cargo 360 at JFK

As some of you know and have mentioned, there is a Cargo 360 747 parked over at the Tower Air terminal. I noticed that it was parked in a position that is not that common for parking...a little further in towards that building than normal. It's also been there for over a week now.

I was informed that there are no titles on it, and I was wondering if this plane is being given to a new owner or if Cargo 360 is scaling back operations.

I'll try to get a reg soon if I can.

That must be that Cargo360 Boeing 747-300 Ive seen sitting at the old Tower Air Cargo facility on Christmas eve while I was spotting from Hamilton Beach. I wonder whats been going on that its still there.

I've heard from two people that the plane now has a Southern Air registration.

Did Cargo 360 go under?

You mean this one? She's owned by Southern Air now, the story is she just had an engine replaced. They were doing run up tests on her yesterday, no clue when she will leave. Oh speaking of Tower Air as we were mulling about the old ramp...if you ever had any lost luggage on Tower Air chances are its sitting there...Holy $hit there is bags all over that ramp and on the belt, I didn't take a pic but my god....bags EVERYWHERE!

Well that would explain it! LOL Cargo360 didn't last all to long then, very interesting indeed.

At some point during the night, the former 360 plane left the Tower Air terminal. I don't know if it's elsewhere here at JFK or if it departed though.

Atlas has been parking a few of their planes at Tower air as well, in addition to an all white 747. Not that out of the norm, but more aircraft using it at a given time than I'm used to seeing.

The bags all over The ramp and belts at Tower are from the Feds and PAPD K-9 training. They used to use an old TWA bldg where the jetBlue Hangar is now.

Atlas has been using Hanger 17 & 19 lately since we ( unfortunately ) no longer have the use of Building 87 ,for extended parking , we are now at the mercy of the Port for parking assignments.
