    Canon's working on an 800mm f/5.6 lens, perfect for spotting at EWR from JFK.

    Did anyone catch a TV show this weekend on nat'l Geographic, about a leopard they followed in the wild for 3 years (narrated by Jeremy Irons?)

    If yes, one of the lenses the couple had seemed even bigger than this.

    in fact, it was mounted to a post on the front end of their Land Rover.

    What is the largest lens Canon has available?

    The largest lens I know of is a 1200mm f/5.6 that was only built when someone requested it.

    i know a photog from cali who is in to airshows big time. the uses canon, but has got a 400mm f2.8 lens that is literally as tall as he is. this one looks small compared to the one he's always lugging around..
    it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
