    Should I appeal?

I wouldn't normally make a new topic for this, but its a little more info needed and such than posting in the rejected JP.net thread.

    Well, this photo:
http://www.jetphotos.net/viewreject_b.php?id=1519261 was rejected for foreground clutter, I don't think there is that much, and there are many more photos in the queue with more.

Actually, the SAME tower, nearly the same spot, but even more clutter can be viewed in this photo here:

    Should I appeal?

I think the issue in your photo compared to the other DTW tower one is composition. In your picture, there's just a tree and a lightpole sticking up. In the one that got accepted, you can see the other buildings and whatnot, so there's a bit more context to the tree and the lightpost.

I'm not saying I agree with that reasoning for rejection, but it's the first thing that occurred to me when I compared the photos.

I don't know, Matt. That photo you linked to has been in the DB over 4 years now, and standards continue to evolve. I wonder if it would be accepted today - it doesn't even look level to me.

Alright, well thanks guys! I might just end up cropping it up to where it doesn't show any obstructions.

I think if the shot is large enough, that would be your best bet.

The other photo could have been accepted with sub-par standards because it was a NEW tower at the time. Same as they will accept sub-par "HOT" photos and then a day or two later they will recect for better quality. Just my 2 cents.
