LGA 11/25: Losing my 100-400 Virginity

I finally got a chance to bust out the 100-400 for my first serious plane shooting action...up to now I've been relegated to runway 4 arrivals due to my equipment. This was my first time shooting takeoffs...I still need a lot of practice shooting with this thing, and editing the results. Here are the best of the 250 or so I shot.

Around 3:40 the sun was on its way down and hiding behind some clouds, but this 757 caught the last few rays of sun to peak out on its nose while the back half of the fuselage is shaded. In the shot I took a split second before this, the whole plane is dark.

Sharpest shot of the day, barely had to edit this one.

That is amazing, those shots are very clear and crisp and the bankings on those shots and planes are unbelievable!

    Really nice shots!

Scrolling down through those, I was playing the what type of A/C each is game. Not being an expert, I have a pretty good idea, but would like someone who really knows to post that.

    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the props, guys. I'm pretty happy with the first round results, but I still have much to learn and much experience to gain. Good thing I'm at the right place for that. :)
