Overheard on JFK TOWER - S Turns are fine, U-Turns are bad....
Its funny you ask that question. I have been wondering that myself since I started traveling down to JFK for spotting. I remember back in the 90s American Eagle used to fly the Shorts 360 from BDL to JFK. Would be cool to see some Dash 8s or Saab 340s on approach to JFK mixed in with the CRJs and ERJs.
I still remember the Ransom Dash 7's as well as the TW express ATR's and Metros

ORD until only recently was a no-prop airport.
In 2006 when Delta took over Freedom Airlines, there were a bunch of Delta Dash 8-100s at Kennedy, based out of Terminal 2.
However, there is a scheduled airline that operates a B1900 into Kennedy overnight, a Skylink Express B1900 from CYHM.

Also Commute Air did operate to Cleveland under Continental Connection with a Dash 8 a couple of years ago...

I recall DL having Dash8's and I think 1900's for a short while out of JFK a couple of years ago. I remember seeing the Dash8 in DL colors--it was quite interesting.
The CO Connection flights were operated with Dash8-Q200's...and I believe they stopped when CO pulled out of JFK altogether.
I have been speaking to my friend who is high up at CO (now UA) about starting up service from ISP-CLE on the Q400--but no luck yet.
It's the fares, stupid
I remember on one of my JFK trips seeing the DL Dash-8's at JFK - I wanted the control tower to tell the B777 behind it - caution prop-wash from landing Dash-8......

Thanks, Cary! That was over at North Woodmere - the C-17 was arriving 22R, the Dash-8 on 22L, and the timing just worked out right.

The rudder deflection of the C17 is very interesting
