After a delay in Sunday’s morning launch plans due to cloud coverage, Space Shuttle Endeavor finally blasted off at 4:41am EST this morning in what may be the final night launch before the Space Shuttle program’s retirement this September.
The 13-day mission of STS-130 and its crew of six is to dock with the International Space Station and deliver another “room” in what is the final large addition to the station’s construction, which includes a 31-inch viewing dome, the largest of its kind, and medical and exercise equipment.
