Cathay Pacific Airways and Boeing announced on Wednesday that the Hong Kong-based carrier had ordered 10 more 777-300ER jets valued at $2.8 billion based on list prices.
Cathay first ordered the type in 2005, and since then has added more -300ERs five times, bringing their total planned fleet to 46, including four leased aircraft. The airline mainly uses them for long-haul flights between Hong Kong and North America and Europe.

As we continue to expand our fleet, the 777-300ER will play a crucial role in our operations in the years to come.”
