Volaris, the Mexican low cost carrier, has signed a purchase agreement for 44 new A320 narrowbody aircraft from Airbus worth about $3.9 billion, marking the largest order for new planes ever placed by a Mexico-based airline.
In a television interview first aired on Sunday, New York City Police Department Commissioner Ray Kelly said that his department would have the ability to shoot down a plane if needed.
Hong Kong Airlines has taken delivery of the first of 30 Airbus A320 family jets, plus an A330-200 containing only 116 premium seats, the manufacturer said on Wednesday.
