A deal to exchange slots between Delta Air Lines and US Airways at airports in New York and Washington D.C. that at one point seemed dead in the water has come back to life.
Delta will upgrade to the 747-400 on flights from JFK to Narita and Tel Aviv on June 1 and June 3, 2010, respectively. They will also begin flights to Copenhagen on May 28, 2010.
An Alaska Airlines passenger plane was forced to abort takeoff on Sunday morning when an eagle was sucked into one of its engines, a spokesman for the airline said.
