Here’s TWA L-1011 N31007. On April 19, 1974, it burned at the gate in Boston when a coffee warmer pad, left unattended, caused a fire that consumed most of the cabin. The airframe was still intact but considered a write-off. TWA bought it back from the insurance company for parts and scrapped what was left.
