GON 10/29/16 - SSN786 Comissioning C-32 Arrival

Unfortunately the C-32 arriving with the first lady for the USS Illinois Commissioning ended up landing with a slight tailwind on the opposite end of the runway, but I was able to get a few decent rollout/taxi shots. 80002 was operating as "Executive 1-Foxtrot". This is the second less than ideal C-32 operation at Groton that I've caught, and with any luck the third time will be a charm...

Were you only at the airport or did you get some shots of the Illinois being commissioned?

I was only at the airport for the Illinois commissioning. The dignitaries take a motorcade from planeside right to the sub base, no chance to shoot both unless you're in the press corps for the VIPs.
