    Seattle Zimmerman Protests

I have no public opinion on the case, but figured that somewhere in Seattle there’d be a protest one way or the other once the verdict came down. Sure enough a rally turned march was held at Westlake Plaza – a frequented flashpoint for these types of things – last night, following a smaller march on Saturday through downtown. While the mood was tense things were largely peaceful aside from a handful of heated arguments and a failed power play by our local anarchists to turn it into a riot (the best they pulled off was turning over one of these free newspaper stands).

I don't think we will EVER really know what really happened that night between the 9/11 call and the fatal shot ;( very sad indeed.

It's sad our society rejoiced when OJ was acquitted with a ton more evidence than the prosecutors in the Martin case had. Either way I hope it stays peaceful.

Too many people have spoken too many times these past couple of days. Bottom line: no one knows sh*t about what happened. Not to mention how over-emphasized this story has been...

    Beautiful work Jeremy, as always.

I'm surprised, with all the cameras around us, that none of this fight was caught on video. Even Rodney King's beating was caught on tape, and that was 1992

Asiana214 should have had a lot of video coverage as Jason and I discussed this weekend. I mean there ought to be cameras in the cockpit, tail, belly, each wing, engine, etc. recording the entire flight in HD. And on the ground, at least one camera at the end of each runway, even if just for security...

I have a 1080p/30 Car PVR that cost me $99 and works like a charm and records about 6 hours on a cheap 32GB microSD card... should not be hard or expensive to do this on modern airliners in 2013

The Boston Bombers encounter with the police was filmed on an iPhone out of a window. Surprised none of the 9/11 calls filmed it while they were hearing the ordeal outside.

Not to sidetrack this thread, but nothing is easy or inexpensive when it has to be certified to operate in flight...

    Nice work, Jeremy!

Today was the day for the hundred rallies across America. Rally, protest or whatever you want to call them, San Antonio had one, it was peaceful, one person was upset he was not on the list to speak and he got a little animated and disrupted a city councilmans time to speak. For the most part the speakers called for peace and prayers and perseverance. These are my favorites from this mornings event. http://www.flickr.com/photos/7957383...th/9327668995/
