    Macy's Fireworks - July 4, 2012

Fred and I went over to Hoboken, NJ to shoot the Macy's fireworks display on the Hudson River. We were set up on the waterfront promenade between the last two barges of fireworks on the south end.

It was a great time as always Moose.

but the real story was not the fireworks.....it was really all about Splash.....right Moose?

While we did have a very good time at the show, it did get really serious for a few moments when
    Splash went on his ADVENTURE

We had seen lost of people looking and yelling but did not see that it was Splash until we had seen Fire and Police boats racing around. Finally I had seen him!

Everyone was going nuts, Police and Fireman were running in every direction, Immigration scrambled helicopters..... Some were saying while we were watching the action there was about 300 or so Swat Member repelling behind us that Moose and I never had seen.

    After Scrambling helicopters

The City quickly tried to get a heavy lift over him

The Helicopter scared Splash and he swam away....reluctantly they decided to let the boats handle it. It was Madness, Children would not stop crying....even the hotdog venders were giving free dogs as they sobbed.

Once again they tried with the boats

and when all else failed....the dog climbed to the shore where the owner was waiting...

Pissed they missed the Action, the USCG retreats quickly

Fred, your photos are, as always, superb. But your story-telling, is even better!
