Blue Bonnets and Texas Countryside Photos

I took a ride this past Friday out to the Texas countryside to photograph some wild Texas Blue Bonnets (state flower). They only bloom a few weeks each spring and then they die as quick as they pop up. Here are my favorite shots from my little excursion into the boonies. Before we searched for these elusive flower fields, we stopped by the Brenham, TX airport. There is an awesome diner on the field that is extremely popular. The wait was over an hour, so I used this time to do some spotting of some single engine planes.

Sweet set! I've got a big soft spot for photographing the small towns and countryside in places like Texas, Missouri, and southern Illinois.

Thanks everyone.. I'd love to do some storm chasing. But at $4 a gallon for gas, I may have to shelf that idea for now.

Impressive shots Tim! If I'm ever in TX, I'll have to have you show me some of the small towns out in the boonies.
