    JFK 2/28/12

I was planning to head up to LGA to catch our favorite Futt, but decided to start at JFK and maybe catch some of the B6 frames I'm missing. It was a strange day - as I was heading out, ATIS was reporting arrivals as ILS (I think) 31L and GPS 31R with the 31R LOC out of service. By the time I got there, a little after 1pm, they had switched to 4L/R, still reporting the 31R LOC out. I headed over to Bayswater, not really expecting to get much, but I thought I'd see how the sun location was.

As I said, I didn't expect much at Bayswater, but I thought I'd give it a shot.

At one point, I heard props, and spotted this guy approaching 4L for departure. It is a USAF C-12F, 85-1267 - quite a surprise seeing it.

I finally called it quits at Bayswater, and headed over to Inwood Park, to have some lunch and wait to see if they changed runways. As I was sitting in the car, I heard tower tell someone "You're number 2 behind a C-130..." I put down my sandwich, picked up my camera, and headed down the walkway. I didn't get very close, but caught this Royal Moroccan Air Force C-130 arriving.

After that, I headed over to the airport, to see if I could find him parked. Turned out he was in the alley behind the Triple Hangars, in front of the private 767 that Mark shot the other day. There was a Moroccan 767 in front of it as well, but I couldn't get a reasonable shot. Wondering what these Moroccans were doing here, I drove around the other side, and discovered these parked in front of the Triple Hangars...

Royal Moroccan Government 737-8 BBJ. I wasn't able to read the registration - Wiki says they have two of them, but I've only found photos of CN-MVI online, so I'm going to say that what this one is.

Parked next to the Moroccan BBJ was this Saudi Arabian 747SP.

I also grabbed the Omni 767 while I was out.

Sorry, Brian, I never made it to LGA...

    Great set.

And at some point this week I assume the president will be in. C-17 and the helicopters flew in yesterday.
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

Moose if there was an emoticon giving the middle finger, this would be the thread for it. LOL!

Seriously though, great catches...not too often you are going to catch a Moroccan C-130 AND the Saudi SP on the same day...ANYWHERE. Not to mention the BBJ as well.

The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
