    PHL 2/18/12

Finally got out to Philly with the new camera. It was sunny for about an hour before clouding up. So I grabbed some arrivals and some departures, and my first bald eagle. When the clouds rolled in it made for difficult shooting.

I don't think the nose gear doors should be open like this on this CRJ700:

So were the Mavericks(by this time the light had gone to complete sh*t)

I usually hate regionals, but I like the American Eagle shots. ;)

Hey Nick, I started using a Nikon D90 last month, I had it when I met you and Fasil for the Singapore 380, still working the bugs out as it wasn't playing nice with the Sigma(I think it was because of how freakin cold it was that day). So far I love how it handles low light compared to the D40x. I thought I would shoot the PHL series in jpeg instead of RAW to see if I even want to bother with RAW anymore, given that it took DxO more than 3.5 hours to convert the RAWs from JFK with little apparent benefit.

And Phil it may be hazardous to my health to say this but I checked and my front door is locked- watching that eagle was way more awe-inspiring than some other Eagles around these parts lately...

So this is why we don't see any good E-Jet special schemes in Charlotte. Great shots, especially the first two!
