Business insider put out their annual top 20 airlines serving the New York area. The measure is based on the number of passengers they transported. LH,BA,AF,VS,AA,UA,CO, all in the top 20 for 2011 but not EK? I am kind of surprised.

Emirates has 2 flights per day. Granted, they use big airplanes, but it's still just 2 flights. Even airlines like Alitalia or El Al offer 4x daily service to New York.
