Tennessee trip terminal spotting (and FedEx Memphis ramp)

I took a trip out to Memphis this past weekend and did a little terminal spotting and got up close with the FedEx ramp at their Memphis World Headquarters. Here are some quick edits.

After getting the rental car I decided to try and find a place to get a shot or two of some three-holers. Upon leaving, I realized I was probably somewhere I should have been when I noticed the "RESTRICTED" signs on the open gate that I couldn't see on my way into the parking lot. They must be used to people spotting out there, because a couple of fedex employees dove by and waved.

Was definitely surprised when I saw this pulling up to the gate in Memphis while I was waiting for my flight.

Another bonus catching this in CLT waiting for the final leg of my trip home. Just wish I could have gotten there in time to get a better angle.

Thanks guys! Hopefully soon I will be going back with the specific reason of ONLY spotting at KMEM, and hopefully the weather is good. I missed out on a bunch of stuff on sunday though. I was near the airport putting gas in the rental car and of course didn't have time to stick around, but in the short 10 minutes (11am) that I was at the gas station 4 MD-11s, 2 DC-10s, 2 A300s, 1 A310, and 1 757 landed on the closest runway to me. I didn't even see if anything was landing on the other two runways, but I can imagine the traffic was good on them too.

If you want to see three-holers....Memphis is the place to do it (eventhough they will all say fedex).
