    KPHX 6/5/2011

I had another 3 hour layover (5 if you count sitting on the ramp for 2 hours while they fixed the APU that wouldn't work) while connecting in PHX so once again I decided to head up to the T4 parking garage. This time I took my photos from the NW corner of the garage since they were landing from the west.

It was the usual cast there (USAirways), but in the 1.5 hours I was up on the garage I got these specials.....

Caught this one for second time in same trip

    And her sister

And this one too for the second time in same trip

    A classic

    Classic departing

I am really starting to develop a thing for the Frontier fleet

I hope to get back to PHX one of these days to go explore more of the popular spotting areas.

Nice set Steve. I like the Frontier livery too. Check out this website, with all the Frontier planes with their animals. Click on the "Fleets" link at the top and it will list a ton of special paint schemes from the airlines. Pretty cool.

Very nice set Steve, glad we (US) managed to have so many special schemes in such a short time.

It was great. I never expected to see so many special schemes on my trip. I can only imagine what I would get to see if I spent an entire day at PHX.

@Kaz - Thanks buddy! I love that shot of the classic SW too, I just wish there wasn't that little bit of heat shimmer on the wings and it had been a little earlier so the light would have been a little more head on.

Steve........great catches during your short lay over (just kidding). Your lay over was surely loaded with specials to say the least.
