I was supposed to take the kids to the first day of the Great TN Airshow at Smyrna today, but when I picked them up at noon a good sized storm was approaching so we opted to do something else. Glad we did because it did end up raining. After taking the kids elsewhere they were still kinda bummed out that they didn't get to see any airplanes, so I grabbed some ice cream from McD's and headed to the observation spot at BNA and introduced them to the wonderful world of spotting. I almost didn't get to take any photos because my son kept wanting to look through my lens to see the planes up close. The action wasn't all that great today, mainly CRJs, ERJs, and of course Southwest. Did snag a nice treat as I was ready to head to dinner.
