    Saw the new UAL/COA

I saw the new livery finally this weekend at LGA. Disappointed. I always liked the Continental tail but the small United lettering on the fuselage in simple all-black lettering, was not attractive. They should have used the slanted orange, red, and blue lettering used in the 80's.

I imagine it's a hell of a lot cheaper to repaint only the titles of CO fleet and re-do all of the UA fleet than it would be to paint two fleets in an entirely brand new livery.

Even if that is the case, it would look so much better if they did the lettering differently. Maybe use a different style of lettering or use larger letters. But they way they did it definitely shows that they are saving money on the repainting.

i agree that the "united" titles ought to be larger but aside from that i like the livery, mostly because i like the COA livery to begin with. there's been a pretty good mix of 737s and even an occasional A319 in the new liv through here consistently. there's even a 738 taxiing to rwy 31 as i type this.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

The UA/CO colors are not 100 percent bad, Yes Ive always like the CO colors, but for UA, I really perfer the 2004 Tulip colors, since UA first came out with that, its been one neat looking schemes, The CO fleet like the 762, 764, 73s and 753s would have looked nice in those colors.

Maybe at some point in the future United will do what US did and paint up some of the birds in heritage liveries- thus we may get to see the old '80's orange Continental livery again- just a suggestion

Thinking along those lines I could go for the 80s/90s united livery too. I really think that was my favorite United livery.

My vote is for an A-320 in Capital Airlines Eagle livery
