New spotter here :)
Hello guys.
Just thought I'd introduce myself as I finally got my hands on a DSLR (an old D60) and I will eventually run across some of you around LGA and JFK.
So, I'm Rom, French dude having moved to the US a year ago. 30 years old, 6 foot 5 to make sure you can't miss me! I've been browsing this website ever since I moved to NY, and A.net for nearly 10 years now. I have one (!) photo on there if you want to check it out (http://bit.ly/fLAiQS).
Anyway, I am posting a photo that I took with my D60 this weekend at JFK. Light was terrible and that's the best I could get out of it (bear with me, my photography and Photoshop skills are still very limited). I know it won't make it thought A.net's screening but any suggestions for the future are welcome!
Hope to see you around :)

Rom,
Always welcome new spotters (and old :-) and that pic on A.net is sweet... especially love the lack of people on the beach. I only hope when I got to SXM I get freedom to roam around without many people to get in the way... cheers!

Nah, I braved it today with a very light pair of pants and shoes as I was dressed for work in a suit and dress shoes. I tried to stay in the car most of the time... technically I was after only ONE plane today which was HARD once she departed. I could not bring myself to pack it all up and leave. Indeed Japan Airlines 777 departed while I was on the bridge and it KILLED me that I did not have the camera ready... ADDICTION runs deep.
I have noticed a certain drop in absolute need to be there 24/7... now that I have a lot of the planes in the db, I can relax a little and just catch the missing ones or those I can use better exposures on. Looking forward to spotting you ;-)
