    Delta retires the last DC-9-40s

Delta has flew the last of the 5 Delta NWA colors DC-9-40s. Sad to see these birds go.. They are all on the ground at SFB..

Saw one at DTW just a few days ago. Glad I snagged a shot.

I managed to catch N760NW landing at PHL last month, and knew then that that was probably the last NW-painted DC-9 I would ever see in real life.

I can't wait for when we only have 3 domestic carriers! That should make for some great spotting.

It's very sad to see those go. I've flown on them many, many times, and Northwest will always be remembered.
My only Northwest shot on Jetphotos is a DC9-40 N763NW
