    RSW & TPA Question

Are there any good spotting locations at either RSW or TPA? Any maps or website links would be great.

I don't have a map at the moment - I'll look for it - but at RSW, the spotting location is right next to the UPS ramp - there is a little parking area next to the road. The only thing I encountered at RSW is that I was advised (and did) to go to the terminal and check in with operations (white phone in the terminal). They took my name and the make of car I was driving. When Airport PD were driving past, they checked with operations and I was clear to shoot as long as I wanted.

Thanks,Mark. If you can find a map for Ft. Myers and/or Tampa that would be great. Is spotting/photographing at Miami worth while?

For RSW, there is a great viewing area inside the terminal before security. Great views of the tarmac from there.

Also, you can get some good shots of the runway and tarmac from inside the terminal after security. Here are some I took in terminal 1 (I think - I geotagged all the locations):

Miami is definitely worth while - at the moment we have the most awesome blue skies, cool weather - perfect spotting weather - in fact I'm heading to Miami tomorrow to get the Transaero 777...

Let me know if you get down this way - I'll try and meet up with you at either FLL or MIA - PBI is a little far for me these days...

The parking garage at TPA and the Econolot are the best places .... At RSW the entrance road prior to airport property near the train tracks is the best place for arrivals... RSW is almost ALWAYS on 6..... Only when the winds really kick from the west do they flip to 24 operations.... In fact, only once in my life have I ever seen them on 24 and I landed there in a 172SP the day it happened.
