    JFK - 11/19/2010 (Image heavy)

Got out a little bit this morning, then in the afternoon and early evening. Bumped into Manny, Conrad and a couple of spotters from NJ (Mike and Chris) at Panera. Here are some of my catches from the day:

They sent her to 31L while some of us were waiting at Panera for her.

The best I could do at ISO 6400 (I should have used shutter priority instead of aperture priority)

Ah Mark, the TNT and the Finnair came out great despite the situation (backlight for the Finn, DARKNESS for the TNT) I am sorry I couldn't stay for the TNT.. even so, it still took me 2 hours to get home (20 miles) because of what seemed to be the worst traffic day so far this year. I don;t know what the heck was happening yesterday.

I have NEVER been caught on Rockaway Blvd for more than maybe 5 minutes tops. Yesterday, I spent 30 minutes from Cargo area to Panera !! Just horrible light sequences on that road....

Anyway, I would have caught Finnair had I not been greedy getting the Atlas Cargo. I also probably would have gotten some shots from right under if I had stopped somewhere BEFORE getting to Inwood Park. I knew it was on a 5 mile final but I could not see it in my rearview. When I got to the parking lot, it was already clearing the tree tops :-( I probably would have had a better chance at Panera with a Back-lit shot than no shot LOL.

So yet another lesson learned: Don;t get greedy. And the old photographer's motto: f/8 and BE THERE! This is the best I go through the trees (these planes are going fast hahaha, when I stopped my car, it was still in blue skies. Just jumping out and it was behind the trees)

also caught the bullet while sitting in traffic. Well, might as well be productive while unable to move.

Excellent shots Zee! I really like the TNT 747, something about an orange airplane :). I wish I had a 10th of the variety at Logan.
