JFK 11/07/2010 and a surprise visitor

I went out to JFK today mainly for this special visitor that popped up on an ACARS search. It was obscure to begin with and then after waiting all day for it at Panera, OF COURSE, it gests cleared on 31L :-(

I am Cuban so obviously a flight from Havana's Jose Marti to JFK would raise my curiosity.

Vision Airlines 767 with a Lufthansa A330 on a hard left turn out of 31L departure. The sun was super bright by now and this shot was TOTALLY back lit. I just pushed the exposure 2 stops over the meter to get "some" detail.



And a special one for me also a surprise



Others I liked...

The little guys get no respect. But this was a nice unexpected regional with a ribbon. Never saw it before
