    KADW, KDCA shots June 21st-27th

    Greetings,
A few shots from a week long stop in my hometown area DC, VA, MD.
Just got back from spending a week in the DC area. I went to ADW 4 days in a row and couldn't pull of ANYTHING NEW. A big disappointment considering how many time I was there during the week. Now that I hit ADW again the Belgium Air force is only bringing in the Blasted A310 now. I was excited when I saw it on the trackers but as to be expected the type wasn't what I needed. The most interesting thing was a massive fleet of Russian aircraft no doubt assiciated with the G20 that is taking place in Toronto.
At on the second day at ADW I spotted:
    x3 Rossia IL-62
    x2 Rossia IL-96s
    1 Russian Air Force IL-76

    USAF E-4B (747-200)
    USAF SOF 757-200 (white)
    Belgium Air force A310
    Miami Air 737-800
    (And the usual ADW traffic)

If I didn't have these aircraft this would have been the BEST day of spotting for me ever but it was basically meaningless. Maybe next time I will have more luck. God only knows what number Rossia IL-62 shot it was this time 18? 20?. It was impressive to see that plane Russian Government planes on the ramp at one time. At least I FINALLY shot that USAF VC-140 (Jetstar) gate guard that I have put off for a decade at the VIP terminal.
I also stopped off at DCA to shoot the Fedex 757-200F.

IL-62, IL-96 and then IL-76 in the back.

The other IL-96 and 2 IL-62s were not shootable.

Waiting for for Fedex 757 to arrive on Runway 19 just after sunrise.

Taken Andrews Air Force based yesterday. Probably the most interesting and stupid subject I shot on the base this time around :/
I don't drink but......I think this is a very tacky marketing ploy if you ask me.

Senga, some really great stuff there. Amazing subjects that I'm very jealous of.

I'm confused about your last shot. I don't see anything except for the back of a white truck and some trees.

    Thanks Phil,
You are Jealous of my catastrophic Failure? :)

Yea that Cammohol Delivery truck blends in pretty well. I wonder if it only does deliveries on the bases.

look at all those classic Russian airliners.. I think I just wet myself

That was just a spy truck camouflaged as Budweiser to see what Se-gaB was doing up close.

Here's another shot. I took this one with my cellphone- or was it the point and shoot..who knows. I was bored and needed to shoot something. The Other 2 IL-62s and IL-06 were to the right.

I think the driver was looking at me when I took the pic :)

Actually, Russia's President Medvedev met with Obama in DC a few days ago, that's probably why they were all there.

    Anyway, great shots.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    Yes that's true
They came in while the G20 was in session that what I meant. I wish they would bring in a smaller plane once in a while. Oh well.

it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    Matt,
Yea but lately I haven't been able to get anything new and its getting frustrating.
DCA has been getting the FDX 757s there since they got them. I forgot how long its been. Maybe 1.5 or 2 years now?
It is a bit strange seeing a Cargo plane flying into National.
