    Save the Concorde

    frankly i'm surprised this hasn't surfaced here:

    it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

    Although I'd like nothing more than to see Concorde take to the air again, I don't see it happening, realistically. If you could magically fly it today for the same cost as a B747, then maybe it would be doable. But as everyone knows, over the course of its life, it was several times more expensive to fly than any other commercial aircraft. Throw in today's economic climate and it (flying Concorde) just isn't going to be found on the top of most people's To-Do list.
