That was one of the most astonishing and disturbing recordings I have ever heard.
Southwest Airlines-"Once it pop's it's time to stop" Southwest Airlines-"Our Shamu's are almost real" Southwest Airlines -"We blow our top real easy" Southwest Airlines- "You can't top us..... really"
Wow... I just got goosebumps... At first I kind of was like who is this guy on the radios, and as soon as the "hypoxia" word was said it all made sense... It is extremely eye-opening to see first-hand how the symptoms of hypoxia (or lack of oxygen to the brain) can affect someone. It's also
In the Air Force, we are required as part of flight-training and then again on a recurring basis to go into the altitude chamber where we get taken up to altitude (I think somewhere in the ballpark of 30,000') and then take off our oxygen masks and experience hypoxia. It's kind of similar to being drunk - some people become really friendly, slow way down, and other become angry and can get violent. What's funny is that the moment you put your mask back on and start breathing oxygen normally, you immediately snap out of it, and most people don't remember anything that happened when they were off; again it's a lot like being drunk!
Wow!
