Selective Colorization

Someone's photo inspired me to try selective colorization. It never appealed to me, and I've never done it before, but I found an old photo and tried it out. I think it came out well. What's your personal stance on this technique?

I think this technique can highlight the subject of the photo very nicely. I can really appreciate a well done example, a do it myself now and then.
