    Is ths fake?

    http://www.airliners.net/photo/Thoma...211/1243399/L/

the edges of the window look photosopped and I can not see how he can have that depth of field. I am I seeing things or did he do a blur on the windows with a selection and a slight feather?

Just curious as this pic looks a little too cool and I wanted to do the same....wide angle F1??
The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".

Fred, I can see what you are referring to...the very top of the right window has a very small "clear line" as does the bottom of the left windshield. Me thinks, someone got duped there...and with all that noise, why did Anet accept this???

Somewhat related, does anyone see something strange about this picture? (scroll down for my take)

Look behind the nose gear strut, right above the tire. The area of sky that shows through looks like a different hue than the rest of the sky. Also, the sky between engines 1/2 and the wing is that same tint. If you cut that little section of sky out and drag it around to compare that swatch to the rest of the sky, it's quite different. Not sure what the motivation would be for changing the color of the sky (especially since the "original" looks okay).

looks like the sky was eddited but the photog forgot to select the sky peeking through the nosegear or between the engines. ooops.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Exactly. I actually stumbled across the AF A380 picture because I was upset about recent "color" rejections and was browsing the site to show a friend some inconsistencies. I don't do any color correction on any of my a.net stuff - it comes straight from a Canon 1D Mark III (or 7D) RAW file and is converted with standard settings, with proper metering and correct WB, and I get color rejections, when some people are changing the tint of the entire sky? Oy vey.

Very simple....Screeners make mistakes, it happens at A.net and JP.net. I'm sure the Screeners at A.net will deal with it. Looks like the cockpit shot the magic wand tool was used then the windows were blurred. I doubt it would have been picked up in screening. When pics are in questions on JP.net we ask for the original and if the Photog doesn't provide it we remove the shot. We just had that happen with a photog from Isreal.

The biggest concern with the window blur shot is that I don't even see how that's physically possible to take in the first place - and if it is possible, someone please tell me how!! You can play around with white balance settings in the camera before taking a shot, but what sort of f-stop would be needed for that to work? 0.05? Mistakes with not noticing color issues/jaggies/contrast is one thing, but not recognizing a possible violation of basic camera physics is another.
    Shoot first, ask questions later.
