Gidday all,

Perth, Western Australia's first airfield 'Langey Park' is situated on the foreshore of the
Swan River, which extends from Fremantle to the south to Guildford in the east.

The City of Perth hosted a special fly in honour of the late Nancy Bird Walton, one of
Australia's pioneering women aviators. This special occassion is also a celebration of
Women in Aviation in Australia and their accomplishments over time.

Eighteen aircraft participated, the event was opened by the City of Perth's Lord Mayor
Hon Lisa Scaffidi.
