More than 100 passengers were stranded for six hours on the tarmac at Kennedy Airport waiting for a flight to the Twin Cities to depart.

Sun County Flight 242 was supposed to take off from Kennedy Airport about 11 a.m. Friday. But passengers say the plane didn't start boarding until about noon, and didn't take off until after 6p.m.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

This is getting out of hand. There is no excuse for treating CUSTOMERS like this, after 2 hours the passengers should be let off the plane and after an hour be provided drinks. The Sun County cabin crew is a disgrace that they made the passengers pay for the food.

    Construction?

    What construction?

I was at work during that time, and I don't remember ANYTHING of a groundstop to be that long....

Here we go AGAIN. IMO no excuse & as some else pointed out, after 2 hours they should be let off.
