    CitiField 8/15/09

Went to Saturday's Met game, an annual event with a group of about 40 friends/family/neighbors/etc. We used to go to Fireworks Night, but since they don't do that anymore, we've taken to afternoon weekend games. We were in the last row (actually, we had 3 rows) at the top of the stadium, in straightaway left field - just about as far as you can get from Home Plate and still be in the stadium! With the roof over that area, I couldn't see any of the Expressway Visual arrivals at LGA, but I did get a few decent shots of the game.

Here was the view from my seat - they have TV monitors on the back of that overhead to give you a better view of the game.

    Swing and a miss...

    A play at the plate

Tried something different with this sequence of Santana

Moose, you saw quite a game. I'm very jealous! Your shots looks great.

Secondly, I'm a little disappointed that you didn't go walk near the Pepsi porch to get some EV31 pics!!!! Perfect opportunity!

Any hassle in bringing your long lens in?

Thanks, guys! Phil, I did consider trying to get some shots, but I was with people, and after the climb up to the top of the stands, I didn't want to be going up and down too many times! And no, no problems with security bringing in the 100-400. I have a "small" camera bag that's big enough for the camera, a short lens and the big lens. All they do is check inside, never had a hassle from the Mets, either at Shea or now at Citi.
