man who is accused of stealing a small plane from a flight school in Thunder Bay, Ontario and flying across three U.S. states is now in custody in southeast Missouri.
Missouri Highway Patrol says he was captured shortly after landing the plane on a rural highway near Ellsinore and fled on foot.
Thirty-one-year-old Adam Leon is under arrest, but has not yet been charged. It's alleged he scaled a fence at Thunder Bay's Confederation College Flight Centre Monday afternoon and took off in a four-seater Cessna.
As he flew into U.S. airspace, F-16 fighter jets intercepted Leon after radio calls and signals to land were repeatedly ignored.
