    JFK Runway Usage Chart

ATC at JFK used to mail me a "Runway Usage Chart". This was about 25 years ago when they were still giving public tours of the old Tower. On the "Chart" was a list of wind directions starting at 0 degrees to 360 degrees. Next to each wind direction was the maximum permissible wind direction for each runway. Supposedly according to this, if the wind passed a certain velocity, the runways would have to be changed. I was wondering if they still use such a chart or if runway selection is now computer-controlled.

Thanks. This is exactly what I was talking about. I wasn't sure if it was still used.
