Microsoft Lays Off Entire Flight Simulator Team

Microsoft has shut down Aces Game Studio, the development group responsible for the 27-year-old Flight Simulator series and Microsoft Train Simulator. MS says they remain committed to the Flight Sim series, but have no word on if or when new versions will be released.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

    Wow, this stinks.

At least FSX still keeps up some good playing.
