    Spotting in mid-March?

Is it feasible? I would really like to get shots of the Finnair MD-11 before it is retired. I must come in March or is there any hope they will continue to operate it until the fall? I am a fan of the 333 but my love is the tri-jet. I am a Las Vegas native and probably will jump one of the American directs to JFK. Natives, is there any hope of decent conditions mid-March during a five day period? Thanks for the help!

It's rare for us to have bad weather for more than a couple of days in a row, so if you're here for five days there's an excellent chance you'll have at least one good day, probably more than one.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9

April 5th will be the last MD-11 flight while April 6th will be the first A330-300 flight.
