excellent shots! which runway were they using? I've been to PHL a few times on island road or enterprise blvd. whichever that access road is called, but i havent been able to find a good spot for departures...where did you happen to position yourself to get these shots?

They were using 27L for departures. Check out my Oct. 4th reply for the info.

It was a surprise. It must not have been planned as he didn't know where he was supposed to go. He left PHL for BWI, who usually gets the Reach flights (Military Air Transport for anyone who doesn't know).
