First outing at MIA in quite some time, and a first with the D300. Check these out, and tell me what you think.

That SBA is SICK. What a catch. Where's that from?
Heck, therre's that PronAir Mad Dog from?
that all-white MD-80. Is that an Alaska bird or one of those US Marshals aircraft?
Excellent coverage. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks guys.
Phil- SBA is Venezuela's Santa Barbara. Thats a temp reg, it'll be leaving MIA in a couple more days with a YV registration. Thats their second 757 in new colors.
Pronair is a new carrier in Spain that 717 was being delivered.
And the white MD is ex-Alaska currently flying for the Department of Justice.
I'd also like to note that the Swiss 340 is an equipment upgrade, we used to get the 330's. But ever since Alitalia switched Miami-Milan for Miami-Rome, Swiss has seen growing numbers on it's MIA-ZRH loads.

I don't think that's a 717....engines look too skinny, no?

Nice catch on the Santa Barbara and the 2 Spanish mad dogs.
I'm pretty sure that Pronair is an MD-87.
Great shots Eddie!!! Congrats on the new camera!! I need to make another trip to MIA!! Those internationals on rwy 12 are GREAT!!!

I'm pretty sure you guys are right on the Pronair. I was never good at identifying MD's apart from the obvious ones. (MD-11, DC-10)
Mark- Thanks, if you come down make sure to bring a cooler with plenty of water. And apart from the internationals around 4-6PM theres not much. Thats the best time to come. Let me know and I'll try and head out. :borat:

Nice. Wonder what's up with the all white Mad Dog, ex-Alaska Airlines bird. And what are the odds of catching two Spanish LCC delivery flights in one day?
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
Beautiful shots, nice catch.
those last two are awesome! love watching wx like that forming.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
Awesome stuff man, didn't know MIA had so many international aircraft
Nic shots there.
You know out of all those time I went to MIA I not ONCE saw a Maintenance Aircraft move.

Cool Pic's 8) I could see myself at MIA quite often after I move to the MIA/FLL area. Great airport to spot at!!!!!!!. I only have 2 more majors to visit here in FL(MCO AND PBI) then I have all of Florida covered. Have to love those huge Florida Cumulonimbii'
Wow and you call yourself a plane geek? Yes Phil its a 717, Spanair is Europe's largest 717 operator.Originally Posted by Phil D.
The Pronair catch is simply fantastic, they have such an interesting paint scheme. I'm not big on SBA's new colors, the older colors seemed more South American. This one looks like its a sports charter.
