    MAD Spotting Pics 6/30

I've been neglecting taking a swing out to the airport during my current trip to Madrid, I've been having a lot of fun with friends and have been very busy and such. Yesterday however I had to drop a friend off at the airport and she was willing to spend the day with me spotting so I figured why not! Weather cooperated for the most part, unfortunately the Air Comet A330-200 came during a patch of clouds.

Towards the end you'll see the 757-200 with the titles "Capmpeones" on it which was the aircraft which returned the winners of the Euro Cup to their home country, they were indeed onboard the aircraft when I photographed it! Later when I dropped my friend off at the Terminal I saw them getting off of the plane and onto their open double decker bus, very cool to see.

The rest of my trip should be more spotting oriented then Madrid since I have friends here. I'm planning on spotting at BCN on Saturday, ORY next week sometime, and LHR on the 10th with Josh May. Stay tuned and wish me luck!

    Enjoy!

Great stuff, Gordon. What's up with that Qatar Global Express? I've never seen that before.

Nice stuff, Gordon. Jealous I didn't have time to shoot there when I was in MAD earlier this year.

It seems Qatar owns two Global Expresses to shuttle Amirs around.

Great pictures Gordon. The Vueling A320 scheme is very appealing.

nice shot of the qatari global!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Thanks, guys. Waiting in the heat and all was definitely worth it for the shots.

I was as well very surprised to see the Qatari Global Express, it came in 1 or 2 aircraft after the A330-300. I was hoping the A340-500 would show up as well!

IŽll be back in the states on July 22nd, expect me at JFK for the A380 on August 1st if not sooner!

Great job as always Gordon, and thanks for sharing with us. While I am not a fan of the scheme, glad you caught Flyant, that one is former N437US, there entire 3 strong 737F fleet is ex US.

    Cheers

Very nice shots. These pictures brought back my appetite for Madrid.
I'm still confused where to go for my Fall vacations. Spain? Portugal again? Germany/Luxemburg/France? Tough decisions :)
MAD and BCN sounds really good. Where did you take your pictures from?
