CSA prepares for retirement of two A310s..

From what I understand is that OK is retiring two A310s.. OK-WAB leaves this coming July while OK-WAA leaves sometime next year... Leaving only OK-YAC & YAD.. Any Idea why they are retiring so early?? And what will the efect be at JFK?

From what has been on a.net, there havent been any replacement announcements as of now. Maybe these routes werent money makers.

    Hi Sergio -

I wouldn't call the A310 retirement "early" really. Only TAP is still flying them to the US at this time.

It'll be sad if Czech OK jet stops serving New York. They were here with IL-62s back in the day.

In a way, this sort of reminds me of Tarom. They served JFK with A310s and then just dropped out of long haul service.
