My God, I didn't know there were still any C-46s still flying! Great stuff, Rafal!

The three most common expressions in aviation are, "Why is it doing that?", "Where are we?" and "Oh Crap".
Absolutely amazing stuff.
It's hard to take chances but sometimes it's better if you do

Amazing stuff Rafal!!! Interesting to see the Dash-8 N803LR there - I got that one at JFK in Delta Connection colors - wondered where all those Dash-8's had gone...Amazing selection there!

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
I was so amazed at the C-46, I overlooked the last shot - that UPS MD-11 departure is stunning!

wow, talk about 747 heaven! great shots, especially the C-46 and the UH-60 with skiis!
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.
I am in AWE  What a blast to see all these unique shots.
That F-22 landing shots is outstanding!
Im jealous!.. those are some amazing shots!!!.. never seen such a variety of 74's
Please Mr. Moderator can I type out some curses of excitement!!! LOL!! This batch of pictures is even better than the first. Moose
mentioned the C-46 but how about the DC-6 and the Douglas R4D-8? That is so cool to see these old timers not only flying but WORKING
for a living. And that UH-60 shot could be an aviation poster. Beautiful. Just a wonderful assortment of photos. I have to believe half the
guys on this site are calling their travel agents ready to book a trip out West.
And.....May I have some more, sir? Please?
Mmmmm I love that China Cargo MD-11F shot and the Lyden C-130 shot. Some more gorgeous stuff, Rafal.
Keep it coming!
Rafal I dare say I have NEVER seen such an variety of planes before in my entire life. My god....the span of flying history you captured is simply astonishing! My god you go from a DC-3 to a F22 Raptor.....No airshow in the world could provide the same sights that you saw.
A Shorts 330. Wow.
Group outing to ANC, anyone??
Guys,
Thanks for the kind words. I'm drooling myself looking at those pictures :)
This place is very very spotter friendly, and you can basicaly shoot arrivals/departures on every single runway. Local folks have told us that the best sun for shooting at ANC is in September. So if you plan on going there you might consider holding on until September (just a helpful tip).
Last batch of pictures coming up right now.
Take care,
Rafal
