    NYC Group Tortures Drug Dealers

    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,354380,00.html

NEW YORK — A sadistic gang of police impersonators abducted and tortured scores of East Coast cocaine traffickers, forcing them to hand over multimillion-dollar stashes by threatening to squeeze their testicles with pliers, authorities said Tuesday.

An indictment unsealed in federal court in Brooklyn charged eight men with robbery conspiracy, drug dealing and an array of other crimes.

Since the spring of 2003, the gang injured about 100 people while committing 100 holdups targeting large-scale traffickers in New York, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Florida, investigators said.
What do you think about this? Though the police should do the police work, I don't have any sympathy for the dealers. I wish it was legal for people like me to go after criminals like that.

What's to think about? It's not like this was some vigilante group trying to stop drug dealers, they were stealing from drug dealers then selling the drugs themselves. And sorry Phil, I don't think it's a good idea for citizens to go around playing police. If you know of criminal activity, the real police are just a phone call away.

This story makes me miss Omar on The Wire.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.

No way should normal citizens do the job of the Police. Every Tom, Dick and Derner ;) would be making up their own laws. If these guys didn't turn around and sell the drugs themselves but aided the Police in their apprehension then cheers to them but what they are doing is equally as wrong.

It sounds like they were Robin Hoods but they kept the profits and probably some of the weapons...

Yeah, I obviously don't agree with the reselling of the drugs and the profiting made from it. I just got the feel that this article made the original dealers out to be victims. Screw them.
