I know that the B777 and A300 are Twinjets because they have twin engines. I also know that Trijets have 3 engines (Tristars, DC-10's,etc). But what are jets with 4 engines called? Are they Quadjets?

Sometimes they call them 747, or A340's or 707's or Lockheed Connies, or DC-8's ....etc
