    FACT/CPT Cape Town 3/16/2008 - 56K = N0

While waiting for our flight from Cape Town back to Johannesburg, I managed to get a few shots from inside the airport. Unfortunately, what used to be the viewing area inside Cape Town airport is now an enclosed bar - it used to be an open viewing desk - even 5 years ago. The one shot that might be of interest is the tug that is used for the pushback of the 1Time MD80's - I took that from inside the plane as it was about to attach to the port side main gear. Pity that it is so backlit in the morning.....

South African A319 pushed back about to depart to FADN/DBN Durban

The Abercrombie and Kent Icelandic B752 that was in Cape Town for a couple of days - unfortunately, I didn't get the other side

Ever wonder where the old BAe146's from NW Airlink went??? They are in SA - operating for SA Airlink - there are 4 now I thnk out there

Kulula.com leased a Transavia B738 for the busy season

Now this Travel Service B738 is a long way from home!

The SA Air Force 20th anniversary C-130 was in for some reason

    wow, what a great assortment.

ZS-OPZ reminds me of the old NY Air birds.

Glad to know that my last BAe 146 flight might not have been in Australia, but I might have a chance in Africa. Those are great to fly on.
And I, I took the path less traveled by
and that has made all the difference......yet...
I have a feeling a handle of people are going to be very interested in what I post in the near future.

    Good stuff, Mark.

Just for the heck of it I checked out ZS-OPZ to see if it did fly for NY Air...it didn't, but Mr. Derner got a shot of her shooting the Expressway Visual when she flew for Spirit a few years ago.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We have a small problem.
All four engines have stopped. We are doing our damnedest to get them under control.
I trust you are not in too much distress. —Captain Eric Moody, British Airways Flight 9
