    Jordanian VIP A340 JFK..small recap.

Went to JFK to get the EL AL Cargo with the revise titles. RJA001 came in while I was out (as expected). Probably my 6th or 7th shot so of this plane..SIGH, BORING! JY-ABH seems to follow me where ever I go. Its a Love-Hate relationship. More hate though.
The only interetsing thing about this aircraft is the Rocket Defence System that it has installed to track and redirect an incoming rocket.

Senga: I saw a red Stealth roaming around Costco at 15:50 this afternoon. I thought it's you and I called your cell phone. You didn't pick up. I have several shots of various RJ 340 already so I didn't even bother to shoot this time. Look what I missed!

    JZI!,
Sorry about that I was in the process of basically shooting the A340 when the phone rang. I didn't recognize the number and was hoping the person would have left a vioce message. Where were you located when the A340 landed?

Senga: I was parked in my old favorite location -- against the railling in the far side of the parking lot, near the back door of the pet store. I didn't leave a msg because I wasn't sure it's you and thought it might be strange to leave a msg if you were in FL. So we missed each other. I was there to catch the Air Berlin 330 and KL MD-11. I got both so I am happy. It was so windy and cold I sat in the car most of the time.

senga those look like LWRs (Laser Warning Devices) and RWRs (Radar Warning Devices). same technology you see on the nose of the USAF's MH-60s and other such helos...
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

the technology has already been proven, and it exists in many military applications. don't know who makes the pods that have been installed on that 340, but most likely since it's installed it's already proven to be a solid design and has long since left the test stage.

    Matt,
Yes I know, I was saying that it in the works to mainstream it on civil aircraft.
Saudi Royal Flight HZ-HM1B also has something similar installed.
