    India Trip

    Hi,
Just returned from the 18 days trip. (also attended family wedding). BTW, Happy New Year to all NYC members and may 2008 bring some good spotting times for all.

I flew Jet Airways EWR-BRU-BOM. 9W is getting established pretty fast and the ops were excellent at BRU. Here as we dock at 07:45 inbound EWR, three sister ships are already at the gate and on the other side was 2 A330s. 9W had 6 flights in 3 hours at BRU.

    Some transit pics...

    Busy BRU

    Now onto main course... Mumbai
Eric this is the same one we saw getting delivered at Seattle, I flew on her BOM-RAJ sector on 12/30 and then I get her again departing for Bangalore on Jan 8th.

As the sun was coming up... Gulf was leaving... but waited long enough to get some nice rays

The classic colors, soon to be replaced

    Again IC colors disappearing fast....

    AI's new 321...

Great shots and happy holidays to you too! I love the Gulf shot and I must say, I really dig the new Air India colors.

Jet Airways has such an amazing scheme on any Boeing type. Gulf Air has the most unique and beautiful schemes, perhaps on the whole planet.

    Great shots, Raj.

Raj: belated happy new year and excellent shots. It appears that your shots in BOM were taken from a spot that allow overview of the taxi way. Was it from a building or a BOM 'Mound'?

Great shots! I love seeing pics of the medium-sized jets for airlines (like Air India) who only send heavies over here :)

Great shots Raj. Your nice shots from Mumbai are from an area I started seeing lots of nice shots from on a.net and JP just in the last 6 months. Is this a recently found or built location, any info on this would be interesting as the views from their look awesome !

    Cheers

Thanks for the comments, the place is in poor sections of Mumbai. It is rather difficult to spot there unless one has a local help.

    Heres some more,

AIX stands had different lineup each day!

Thanks Raj and more cool shots, never seen a shot with all those cool AIX tails side by side, way cool. In the Saudia shot is the Emirates getting ready for an intersection takeoff ? I have seen other shots from that location with aircraft at the two different holds points. Thanks as I am unfamilar with but intrigued by both the airport and the growing airline industry in India in general. BTW any shots of Kingfisher ? Love that airline.

    Thanks Again

Yup EK did a quickie takeoff. I saw a few that took off A5, but was interesting to see ATRs come all the way to A4!
And yes, the aviation scene is changing at record rate.... as far as gov't regulations and Airport Authority of India keeps up, it will be an amazing decade for the country for aviation growth.

As for IT stuff... was going to post later but here you go, .... :P )
