    Aviation Database (Ur Opinion)

    Hi all!

These days, I was trying to develop a MS Access database for aviation enthusiasts and spotters and mainly to suit my needs.
What do you think about it? It's just what's already done. Do you think it would be worth releasing for download from internet?
I am planning to add also:
    *Flight Statistics
    *Aircraft Sightings, not only photos
    *Safety Cards
If you have any other suggestion, how to make the DB more attractive, write them here.

Thank you very much. Cheers, Keishi.

Count me in as interested, looks great.
Some out there may ask for a SELCAL code field.

the sightings feature is a great addition IMO, as many times we won't have a camera when near an airport.
it is mathematically impossible for either hummingbirds, or helicopters to fly. fortunately, neither are aware of this.

Anyone with enough MS Access skill can create a database. The trouble lies in keeping it updated. The database that I subscribe to (for ~40USD per year) currently has 482368 airframes listed. Every week sees well over 1000 airframe records updated. A database with old info isn't very useful at all. There are a number of commercial database products out there, in a wide range of price categories. If anyone is interested in learning more about the one I use, I'd be glad to tell you a bit about it.

I know that anyone with skill can create it... But as I said, it was mainly made for me to suit my needs... I dont need 500k of regs already in, as I would only use 1% of them and I guess that most of people would not need them either... I'm not persuading someone to use it... I am just offering it...
